HU VP Resigns Amid Investigations

Huntington University confirmed Vice President for Advancement Vince Haupert resigned from the northeast Indiana school Aug 7.

In his position, Haupert shared “the story of Huntington University’s mission and programs with potential and current investors, inviting them to make a difference and contribute to the University’s future.”

WBOI has confirmed an ongoing law enforcement investigation at the university.

Other media outlets are reporting the investigation involves allegations of sexual misconduct.

According to Huntington’s website, Haupert also served as an advisor for the President of the University’s Advisory Council on Excellence or (PACE). The council members are appointed and serve under the direction of the president.

Haupert is a 1990 Huntington College graduate, majoring in business management. Before working at Huntington University he was a financial advisor and wealth manager.

In 2015 Huntington University named its Institute for Agricultural Studies in honor of Haupert’s parents, Dale and Elaine Haupert of South Whitley, Indiana.

The following is the only information on Haupert found on Huntington’s website:

Vincent Haupert, the vice president for advancement, shares the story of Huntington University’s mission and programs with potential and current investors, inviting them to make a difference and contribute to the University’s future. A 1990 Huntington College grad, Vincent used his degree in business management as a financial advisor and wealth manager prior to coming to work at his alma mater. Someday, he hopes to be a missionary in the country of Belize.

In his free time, Vincent enjoys a variety of activities, including singing and leading worship as well as a host of athletic activities such as biking, snow skiing, target shooting and riding a dirt bike. He and his wife, Liesl, live in Huntington and have three adult children. Vincent’s time at Huntington University has been formative for him, especially the day he discovered his favorite Bible verses (Heb. 4:15-16) while studying in RichLyn Library.

Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian liberal arts college in northeast Indiana, about 30 minutes southwest of Fort Wayne.
