Now beerlovers in Northern Indiana can be hot on the trail of a good, cold local brew.

With Brewed IN the Fort Craft Beer Fest just about a week away, there's more craft beer news brewing, with the formation of a Northern Indiana Brewers Association, and its very own Beer Trail.

Josh Brames, Hop River Brewing's Mary Corrine Lowenstein and Keli Hankee, gathered to "talk brew" at Trubble Brewing Company.

Now that nearly twenty breweries are already in the organization and on the route, eager trail travelers will be able to make a tasty tour through Fort Wayne, Elkhart, Warsaw, and the rest of our northerly environs, collecting brewery stamps in their official passports as they go, which can net the owner a variety of swag and perks.

For a rundown on what this means to the area's beer loving population, WBOI's Julia Meek sat down with two of the founding members, Josh Brames of Laotto Brewing and Keli Hankee of Trubble Brewing to discuss the group's purpose, and the collaborative beer they've brewed for this year's Craft Beer Fest.
