Canadian rapper Drake enlisted Tupac Shakur in his new beef

LEILA FADEL, HOST:

Good morning, I'm Leila Fadel. Drake's enlisted Tupac Shakur in his new beef. The Canadian rapper used AI-generated vocals of the late Tupac in a diss track called "Taylor Made Freestyle" aimed at fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar. It did not go over well. A lawyer representing Tupac's estate sent Drake a cease-and-desist letter, threatening a lawsuit if the track was not taken down. The lawyer called the AI vocals a blatant abuse of Tupac's legacy. All eyes are on Drake now. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
