The University of St. Francis is kicking off its arts season with a unique exhibition called Cape Ann Connections.

The exhibit showcases that scenic portion of the New England coast in the en plein air style of painting for which the region is known, and features historic and contemporary Cape Ann painters, as well as Indiana artists who visit the cape seasonally to paint there.

Intrigued by the subject and scope of the show, WBOI's Julia Meek met with exhibition coordinators Justin Johnson and Douglas Runyan to learn more.
