"The Trap Door," a monthly storytelling showcase here in Fort Wayne, has been going strong since it recently opened in September. So strong, in fact that as of Thursday evening it will find a permanent home in Artlink, to accommodate the ever-growing audiences in attendance.
The February showcase is celebrating its new space with a guest headliner, nationally acclaimed storyteller, Shannon Cason, as well as stories from local contributors. Due to adult content that can find its way into the performances, the age requirement for all showcases is 18 and over.
Earlier this week, WBOI's Julia Meek met with two of The Trap Door's founders, Ben Larson and John Cheesebrew, to discuss the popularity of true stories told live, and learn why the experience is important for both listeners and speakers.
