Deborah Kennedy, a Fort Wayne native, now residing in the Portland, Oregon area, is an author whose unique Hoosier perspective is captured in her brand new debut novel, "Tornado Weather."
Though the story itself takes place in the fictional town of Colliersville, its surroundings are very real locations in Northeast Indiana, from neighboring Spencerville, to Fort Wayne, itself, and figure prominently in the story line.
Kennedy will be here in town this Sunday, at Barnes & Noble, as part of her book signing tour, and earlier this week, WBOI's Julia Meek contacted her by telephone, to discuss the author's motivations for the story's Indiana setting, Hoosier authors that have influenced her own writing style, and the success "Tornado Weather" is already enjoying.
