Maestro Webdell has made a lifelong commitment to engage students of all ages into the fabric of music.

Valparaiso, Indiana's Troy Webdell, a noted conductor and educator, is the new director of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic's revitalized Youth Orchestras.

Webdell has been teaching band and orchestra students for the past 24 years, and is the founder and conductor of the South Shore Orchestra, a regional orchestra located in Valparaiso with an international perspective and unique repertoire.

Earlier this week, WBOI's Julia Meek invited the maestro into the studio to talk about his dedication to connecting people throught the language of music, and how he plans to share this passion with his students, and the community, here in Fort Wayne.
