Pam Holocher and Dan Baisden agree that the social and cultural aspects of public art are vital to our community.

Since its formation about a year ago, Fort Wayne's Public Art Commission has been working hard to engage the community and develop a master plan.

Its first public event takes place Tuesday evening at the Arts United Center, offering residents a chance to get a feel for what's in store, and learn what the plan's tagline, "Art for All," can mean to the local arts scene.

For a look at the organization's mission, WBOI's Julia Meek sat down with its administrator, Dan Baisden, and vice-chair, Pam Holocher, to learn about this event, the Commission's future plans and the role public art plays in our community.
