Jeb Bush Says Gov. Pence Was One Of Trump's Better Decisions

During his time in Fort Wayne, Bush also answered questions from an IPFW class.

IPFW's Omnibus Lecture Series kicked off Thursday with a sold-out lecture from former Florida governor and Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush.

In a press conference Thursday afternoon, Bush said Donald Trump's selection of Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate was one of Trump's better decisions.

But Bush wouldn’t endorse Trump and said he isn’t sure how he will vote in November.

“For the first time in my life, I haven’t figured that out completely yet,” he said. “I’m really interested in the first debate.”

Bush’s lecture topic was on the rising sense of anxiety in U.S. culture, which Bush says led to Trump’s popularity.

But Bush doesn't see candidates like Trump as the future of the Republican Party. He sees the future of the party as one that campaigns with a hopeful, optimistic message. Trump's campaign has been described as negative.

Bush says he does not intend to run again in the future.
