Allen County Public Library to Hold Community Sessions Ahead of Master Plan Process

Allen County Libraries

The Allen County Public Library will be holding a series of community sessions in July to discuss its various buildings and facilities.

The sessions will offer an opportunity for community members to offer feedback about library services as ACPL begins its Facilities Master Plan process.

Stephanny Smith is the director of community engagement for the library. She said they want to go into the process without expectations of what the community wants.

“We want to be really open to what our staff is telling us, what the community is telling us," Smith said. "So, we’re not going in blind, but we don’t want to go in thinking that we know what the answers will be.”

Smith said it's important to ensure that the library facilities are meeting the needs in the community.

In addition to the community sessions, the library is doing staff surveys and will be launching a public survey which will be available online.
