After nearly nine years at the Northeast Indiana Public Radio, WBOI General Manager and President Peter Dominowski will be leaving the station at the end of the year.

Dominowski began his tenure at WBOI in 2013, and over the past seven years increased the station’s financial stability and listenership, according to a release from WBOI board chair Lynne Gilmore.

Prior to WBOI, Dominowski has advised public media organizations with his firm Strategic Programming Partners on everything from programming and promotions to fundraising. His career has spanned more than 47 years in public media.

On behalf of the board, Gilmore praised Dominowski’s leadership and contributions to the organization.

Dominowski will be relocating to Florida to continue his consulting work with nonprofits and public media organizations.

WBOI’s board of directors is conducting a nationwide search for his replacement.

Rebecca manages the news at WBOI. She joined the staff in December 2017, and brought with her nearly two decades of experience in print journalism, including 15 years as an award-winning reporter for the Journal Gazette in Fort Wayne.
