Two more Allen County residents have died from COVID-19. Thirty more residents have tested positive.

Allen County’s totals stand at 109 deaths and 2,679 infections.

The demographics of Allen County’s infections mirror that of the whole state, with growing rates among people between the ages of 20-39. Thirty-two percent of the Hoosiers infected with COVID-19 are in that age range.

Nearly 33 percent of those infected are between the ages of 40 to 59, according to the Indiana State Department of Health.

Indiana’s positive test rate remains at about nine percent. Allen County’s is at just over 10 percent.

LaGrange County’s positive rate is at 22.1 percent. But only two new cases were reported early Tuesday morning.

On June 15, LaGrange County health officials began requiring cloth face coverings in public spaces, including van transports. With one exception on June 21, the daily reported number of positive cases has gone down slightly each day.
