Rachel Roberts and Barb Olenyik Morrow are gratified to see the church maintain its relevance and outreach after 175 years of service.

Auburn Presbyterian Church has played an active role in its community since it was founded in 1844.

From its first meeting place in the old DeKalb County Courthouse, to its present day location on 12th Street, it continues to serve as a hub for gatherings and social activities, and provide a home for many programs.

This year of special celebrations will be ending over the next few weeks with a recital by opera singer Marie Engle, a New York-based jazz trio performance and its own birthday party.

Earlier this month, WBOI's Julia Meek two of its longtime member, Barb Olenyik Morrow and Rachel Roberts into the studio to talk about the church's rich history and the bonds it continues to form.
