Fort Wayne Cellist Thrives On Score Of Musical Connections

Cellist Jane Heald, getting ready to perform a random act of music in downtown Fort Wayne

When cellist, Jane Heald, is not in her seat at the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, or mentoring her many students, she's out in the community, actively exploring and sharing the multi-faceted language of music.

Eager to learn where these connections have led, WBOI's Julia Meek invited Heald into the studio to discuss the journey, and its many musical inroads.

  Event Information:

Taste of the Arts 2016, Fort Wayne
@WBOI's Meet the Music Kick-off Concert

You can learn more about Jane Heald's musical pursuits at her Facebook page.

A Fort Wayne native, Julia is a radio host, graphic artist, and community volunteer, who has contributed to NIPR both on- and off-air for forty years. Besides being WBOI's arts & culture reporter, she currently co-produces and hosts Folktales and Meet the Music.
