The City of Fort Wayne announced its Fourth of July fireworks show will take place at the Indiana Michigan Power Center on that Saturday at 10 pm.

At this time, groups of 250 people will be allowed, in accordance with what both the COVID-19 pandemic guidelines from the CDC and Indiana’s “Back on Track” plan look like by July 4. This guidance is subject to change, as the pandemic remains ongoing.

In a statement, Mayor Tom Henry acknowledged the challenges of COVID-19 while putting on the event, saying he wanted to give residents “something to look forward to” while encouraging “good judgment and social distancing” at the event.

The event is sponsored by Fort Wayne, Allen County’s Board of Commissioners, NAI Hanning & Bean and the Three Rivers Festival.
