Fort Wayne Ink Spot Making Headlines On Local News Scene

Aug 22, 2018

Fort Wayne Ink Spot is a new, bi-weekly print newspaper devoted to sharing in-depth stories with its readers, especially of African Americans and other minorities.

The paper got its name from publisher, John Dortch who said, "It's a spot, a segment, group that we're touching on, so Fort Wayne Ink Spot, because we are all a part of Fort Wayne."

Fort Wayne Ink Spot was established in February, 2018, and recent issues have focused on music, wellness, finance, education, employment and entrepreneurship.

Last week, WBOI's Julia Meek sat down with Dortch, and the paper's managing editor, Bryant Rozier to learn about the enterprise's scope and operations, and the connections already being made, as well as its new place in our community.
