Fort Wayne Native Writes Book About Adversity Turned To Triumph

DeAntwan Johnson grew up in Fort Wayne and due to personal hardships moved to California when he was 17 years old.

Fastforward 12 years and Johnson has graduated from college, he is working on his second masters degree. He is a counselor for a nonprofit in California and does statistical work for professional sporting events.

Last month he returned to Fort Wayne to talk about his recently published book with local students. Johnson was also the keynote speaker at the annual Youth Empowerment Seminar at Indiana Tech.

Johnson’s book is titled “The Sun is Always Shining; A Story of Adversity Turned to Triumph.”
