Lowenstein encourages everyone to stay safe, and promises a grand celebration at Hop River once the restrictions end.

Although social distancing keeps us out of our favorite restaurants these days, whatever you're hungry for, 2GoFW is a brand new public Facebook group designed to keep folks fed, safe and informed during the COVID-19 restrictions.

Whether you're wanting to check the availability of your favorite local establishments or explore uncharted territory and cuisines, thousands of suggestions are rolling in and the momentum continues to build.

For a look at the project, WBOI's Julia Meek connected by phone with its organizer, Mary Corinne Lowenstein, director of marketing for Hop River Brewing, to talk about the impact this tasty commnity resource is making.

To connect with the group, visit the 2GoFW Facebook page.

A Fort Wayne native, Julia is a radio host, graphic artist, and community volunteer, who has contributed to NIPR both on- and off-air for forty years. Besides being WBOI's arts & culture reporter, she currently co-produces and hosts Folktales and Meet the Music.
