On Monday, Parkview Health and Lutheran Health systems have both announced new updates to their visitor restriction policies due to the rising number of COVID cases in the area.
The policies are similar to the ones both systems put in place at the beginning of the pandemic. Parkview Health's can be found here, and Lutheran Health's here.
Another four Allen County residents have died from COVID-19, bringing the county’s total number of deaths to 291 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. An additional 273 have tested positive.
LaGrange County has a 25.8% positivity rate, the highest in the region. Allen County’s is at 17.8%.
The state of Indiana reported 5,606 new cases on Sunday and 27 deaths, with an overall positivity rate of 11.6%.
Local county totals for northeast Indiana are:
- Adams County: 52 new cases for 1,652 total. No new deaths for 19 total. 8.8% 7-day positivity rate.
- Allen County: 382 new cases for 17.054 total. Four new deaths for 287 total. 17.8% 7-day positivity rate.
- Dekalb County: 20 new cases for 1,732 total. One new death for 39 total. 14.8% 7-day positivity rate.
- Huntington County: 71 new cases for 1,223 total. No new deaths for 10 total. 8.9% 7-day positivity rate.
- Kosciusko County: 87 new cases for 4,461 total. No new deaths for 39 total. 12.3% 7-day positivity rate.
- LaGrange County: 15 new cases for 1,366 total. Two new deaths for 29 total. 25.8% 7-day positivity rate.
- Noble County: 26 new cases for 2,468 total. No new deaths for 46 total. 12.3% 7-day positivity rate.
- Steuben County: 14 new cases for 1,411 total. No new deaths for 13 total. 15.1% 7-day positivity rate.
- Wabash County: 51 new cases for 1,530 total. No new deaths for 18 total. 16.1 7-day positivity rate.
- Wells County: 29 new cases for 1,183 total. No new deaths for 27 total. 13.1% 7-day positivity rate.
- Whitley County: 25 new cases for 1,299 total. No new deaths for 10 total. 15.7% 7-day positivity rate.
