The Fort Wayne Männerchor Damenchor is getting ready to kick off its 150th anniversary year with a song in their hearts and a number of special events to celebrate the love of German music and culture that continues to drive the organization.

First among these festive gatherings will be its Fruelingsfest, a traditional Spring Festival, which takes place at the end of March.

Earlier this week, WBOI's Julia Meek sat down with its president, Chad Trouten, to learn about the club's rich musical history, as well as the present place it holds in the community.
