New Family Owned Wells Street Eatery Caters to Foodies

Lindsay and John Cheesebrew, known to their foodie friends as Bird & Cleaver, have opened a restaurant by the same name in a two-story brick house at 1603 Wells Street.

Open for lunch and dinner, the restaurant features a variety of the Cheesebrew's favorite from-scratch recipes, as well as beer and hard cider.

Fort Wayne foodies, Lindsay and John Cheesebrew, have been intent on turning their passion for cooking into a family business for fifteen years.

Now that dream has become a reality, with the opening of their new restaurant in the historic Wells Street Corridor, called Bird & Cleaver Public House.

Earlier this week, WBOI's Julia Meek got the couple out of their kitchen and into the studio to share the story of how this creative culinary adventure has evolved, and what restaurant goers can expect.
