Northeast Indiana officials are promoting two surveys that aim to soften the impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus on individuals and small businesses throughout the state.

Allen County’s Department of Health is running an anonymous survey to gauge the community’s readiness and needs related to the pandemic.

Health commissioner Dr. Deb McMahan says they hope the survey provides officials with insight as to how to best serve the underserved in a crisis.

The Department of Health's survey can be taken following this link.

Visit Fort Wayne is also promoting a survey from the state of Indiana for small businesses to receive their piece of $50 billion in disaster loan funding. Governor Eric Holcomb will use impact data from every county in Indiana which will then determine how disaster loans are disbursed.

Additionally, Visit Fort Wayne announced the Visitor Center and its offices will be closeduntil March 30, but staff remains operational remotely.

The DeKalb County Chamber of Commerce is also promoting the state's small business survey.
