No new COVID-19 deaths were reported statewide on Monday from the weekend, and the total number of new cases was down to 1,822.

That is the lowest number of new cases since early August, according to the Indiana Department of Health.

There were 101 new cases in Allen County, and three northeast Indiana counties had less than 10 new cases reported over the weekend.

There are nearly 3.3 million Hoosiers fully vaccinated against COVID, with an additional 17,710 over the weekend.

Allen County has 57 percent of its eligible population fully vaccinated, while LaGrange is stuck at 25.7 percent.

The area’s 7-day positivity rate is at 9.5 percent, with the county totals ranging from 7 percent in Adams County to 22.4 percent in LaGrange County.

The highly-contagious Delta variant makes up nearly 99 percent of all of the newly-recorded cases around the state.
