Allen County is nearing 8,000 reported cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus. 61 new cases were reported Monday morning, bringing the total to 7,852 total.
An additional death was also reported Monday; 214 Allen County residents have died from COVID-19 during the pandemic.
Positivity rate trends over the last several days have varied across Northeast Indiana, but surges are still being seen in LaGrange and Steuben Counties, which remain in the “orange” on the state’s dashboard and map.
In Dekalb County, 40 new cases were reported from over the weekend. Two are hospitalized, and the county has reported 705 total cases.
Statewide, 1,589 new cases were reported Monday morning. The state health department is reporting a 9.5% cumulative positivity rate among unique individuals over the last seven days.
