Sept. 13: No New COVID Deaths Reported Over Weekend

COVID-19 data from this past weekend looked almost identical to how it looked on Friday going in. 

 

The area’s 7-day positivity rate is at 11.4% and there is around 9 percent of the ICU capacity remaining.

 

The Noble County Health Department announced Monday it would be offering vaccine appointments as the county’s positivity rate stands at 12.3 percent for the past seven days.

 

No new deaths were reported over the weekend throughout Indiana, but there were 2,349 new cases tallied, with 289 of those occurring in northeast Indiana.

 

According to the Indiana Department of Health, more than 16,000 Hoosiers were added to the rolls of the fully vaccinated, bringing the percentage of those eligible having received all their shots up to 54 percent.

 

Only Adams and LaGrange counties have vaccination rates below 40 percent of the eligible population.

 

Noble County and Wabash County are now both up over 41 percent. Allen County has 55.4 percent of its eligible population fully vaccinated.

 

Northeast Indiana totals:

  • Adams County: 16 new cases for 4,322 total. No new deaths for 65 total. 7-day positivity rate at 6.5%. Percentage of eligible population fully vaccinated 37.5%.
  • Allen County: 152 new cases for 51,884 total. No new deaths for 742 total. 7-day positivity rate at 11.3%. Percentage of eligible population fully vaccinated 55.4%.
  • DeKalb County: 14 new cases for 5,513 total. No new deaths for 91 total. 7-day positivity rate at 13.4%. Percentage of eligible population fully vaccinated 42.5%.
  • Huntington County: 16 new cases for 5,826 total. No new deaths for 89 total. 7-day positivity rate at 10.6%. Percentage of eligible population fully vaccinated 46.9%.
  • Kosciusko County: 15 new cases for 11,039 total. No new deaths for 124 total. 7-day positivity rate at 13.6%. Percentage of eligible population fully vaccinated 42.1%.
  • LaGrange County: 4 new cases for 3,079 total. No new deaths for 74 total. 7-day positivity rate at 12%. Percentage of eligible population fully vaccinated 25.1%.
  • Noble County: 19 new cases for 7,134 total. No new deaths for 99 total. 7-day positivity rate at 12.3%. Percentage of eligible population fully vaccinated 41.1%.
  • Steuben County: 15 new cases for 4,766 total. No new deaths for 64 total. 7-day positivity rate at 9.2%. Percentage of eligible population fully vaccinated 46.3%.
  • Wabash County: 17 new cases for 4,677 total. No new deaths for 91 total. 7-day posititivity rate at 12.2%. Percentage of eligible population fully vaccinated 41.5%.
  • Wells County: 10 new cases for 3,703 total. No new deaths for 83 total. 7-day positivity rate at 12.6%. Percentage of eligible population fully vaccinated 43.3%.
  • Whitley County: 11 new cases for 5,054 total. no new deaths for 51 total. 7-day positivity rate at 15.2%. Percentage of eligible population fully vaccinated 45.7%.
