Spinning a Tale: An Interview with Storyteller Condra Ridley

Courtesy/Frost Illustrated

Storytelling is a fine art, and some say a lost one. But right here in Fort Wayne, Condra Ridley has been plying that craft for nearly three decades, to the delight of young and old alike.

Getting her start while serving as assistant manager at the Pontiac Branch library, Ridley views sharing a story as an opportunity to pull people together for a journey, without even leaving the room.

When WBOI's Julia Meek learned of this, she couldn't resist hearing the rest of the story, and here's what she found out.

A Fort Wayne native, Julia is a radio host, graphic artist, and community volunteer, who has contributed to NIPR both on- and off-air for forty years. Besides being WBOI's arts & culture reporter, she currently co-produces and hosts Folktales and Meet the Music.
