In an environment where local news sources are waning across the nation and unbiased facts can be hard to identify, public radio is important.
89.1 WBOI is your public radion station. It's not primarily funded by commercial breaks, pop-up ads or paywalls. It's funded primarily from the people that believe in it.
89.1 WBOI members believe in strong, independent journalism and its role in a healthy democracy. This fall, we're asking you to stand with the facts and stand with community news by helping us reach our fall fundraising goal.
89.1 WBOI's Fall Fund Drive starts Thursday, September 27. When it ends is up to you. The sooner we reach our goal of $225,000, the sooner we can return to regular programming.
There are few extra incentives to giving early. As we go along, we'll have special pop-up giveaways. As soon as you give, you'll be entered into all drawings that happen from that point on.
If we reach our goal before 10am on Monday, October 8, we will giveaway a NEW MacBook Pro. This drawing will only happen if we reach $225,000 before the end of Morning Edition on Monday.
Note: if you're a monthly sustaining member or if you've already given early or during the fund drive, you're already automatically entered into all of our drawings! (No contribution is required for entry into any of 89.1 WBOI's drawings. To enter without making a donation, email mconner@nipr.fm).
