State Coronavirus Numbers Again Over 900, One More Allen County Death

One more Allen County resident has died from COVID-19, and 32 have tested positive.

That brings the total of deaths to 158, and the number of those afflicted with the virus, both symptomatic and asymptomatic, to 3,522.

 

Elsewhere in northeast Indiana, nine new cases were reported in Kosciusko County, five new cases in Noble County, and four new cases in Wells County. 

 

Statewide, the number of new infections was over 900 for the second day in a row, with 912 new positive cases reported.

 

Since early July, the number of positive cases has been at or above 500 cases a day, with a record high of 998 on July 23. 

 

Until July 23, the prior high was 946 on April 25. 

 

Over the past two weeks, there have been eight days with more than 800 positive cases reported, according to the State Department of Health.
