WBOI Weekend News Roundup 03/31/18

Tim West
Mark Waldick and Haley Sorg

This edition of the WBOI Weekend News Roundup covers highlights of the news impacting our area recently.

The headlines include: education awards and improvements, grants that may not be grants at all and why absentee voting wasn't expanded. Then we will hear from Indiana Public Broadcasting's Samantha Horton regarding two developments in international trade: the World Trade Center Association approving an Indianapolis headquarters and President Donald Trump's aluminum and steel tariffs.

After that, we'll provide a brief overview of the anticipated spring and summer road and infrastructure improvements in Fort Wayne. Finally, we will hear part of Mark Waldick's title track from his new album, Last Call, featuring Haley Sorg; Waldick will be heard on WBOI's Meet The Music April 12.
