Fort Wayne Youtheatre has been getting creative with its virtual programming since the earliest days of COVID-19 restrictions and now it's getting ready to resume "in person" activities, summer camp-style.

The group has partnered with the Fort Wayne Dance Collective to devise a safe and socially distanced four-day program  with a focus on acting technique and characterization as well as movement fundamentals and musical theater choreography.

For a behind the scenes look at how all of this has come together, WBOI's Julia Meek spoke with directors Todd Espeland and Christopher Murphy about the community aspects of its mission, the creative ways they are meeting the Coronavirus pandemic challenges and what lies ahead for the young theatrical troup.
