The WBOI Politics Podcast
The WBOI Politics Podcast will dig into the critical issues Hoosier voters are facing with this fall - like confusion around absentee voting, the impact of conspiracy theories on this election cycle, and other stories that the WBOI and Indiana Public Broadcasting news teams are following this season.
The I In Immigrant
Ahmed Abdelmageed, an immigrant himself, asks these question and more in this new podcast "The I in Immigrant". In collaboration with 89.1 WBOI's Katy Anderson, they interview members of the Fort Wayne Indiana community and delve a bit deeper into the person we often don't see behind a label our society imposes on them.

Women Are: Fort Wayne
Women Are: Fort Wayne is a local podcast about the big-picture issues we all face as women. Each week, host Stephanie Gottesman will highlight a different topic – entrepreneurship, motherhood, arts & culture, community building, health & wellness, women’s rights, and more. Join us as we dig deep into the stories of women who’ve built their lives here in Northeastern Indiana. We’ll be hearing about their (often unexpected) journeys to success, the hurdles they’ve overcome, and the tools they’ve learned to use along the way. We’ll also be featuring music by local female artists, sharing info about upcoming events, and giving you all the chance to call in and share some love with the women who are making a difference in your lives.
WBOI's Behind The Mic
WBOI's Julia Meek interviews the volunteer hosts who bring you the diverse music heard on 89.1 WBOI. From the Blue Plate Special to a serving of Tossed Jazz Salad, we'll hear more about each host's unique style and contribution to a full menu of great music and programs.
WBOI Act Of Listening
Students from the University of Saint Francis teamed up with 89.1 WBOI to create Act Of Listening, a project funded through a grant from AARP. Part of the project’s goal was to alleviate loneliness and isolation in older, low-income adults. Over the 2018-19 school-year, students went out in teams of two and met a variety of older adults in Fort Wayne. One visit was recorded to bring these conversations to a wider audience on WBOI's airwaves and on-demand platforms.
