It will likely be weeks before Indiana casinos are allowed to reopen as the state moves forward with its plans for relaxing COVID-19 restrictions.

Indiana is officially getting a new casino in Terre Haute. The state Gaming Commission approved the facility Friday, set to open in September 2021.


Hoosier casinos can now offer bets on the Academy Awards after getting approval from the Indiana Gaming Commission.

That was made possible in last year’s sports wagering law.
