89.1 WBOI’s new podcast, The I In Immigrant, is hosted and created by Ahmed Abdelmageed. The podcast features interviews with residents about their experiences living as an immigrant in Northeast Indiana.
In the third episode of the series, Ahmed spoke with Irene Paxia about her dual citizenship in the US and Italy, finding her passion for international studies and travel at Indiana University, and the feeling of being an outsider, no matter how long she lives in the US. Irene also spoke with Ahmed about her work with AMANI Family Services to try and help other immigrants adapt to American life.
