There's a brand new, two-day event taking shape for September you'll likely want to put on your radar, and its bound to be making some waves.

Middle Waves Music Festival is an all-age, community celebration of indie-eclectic music, showcasing both national and local acts. It's the city's first-ever destination music festival,  and it all takes place on three stages, situated on the east and west riverbanks of Headwaters Park.

WBOI's Julia Meek met with event co-chair, Riverfront Fort Wayne's Alison Gerardot earlier this week, for a sneak preview of what she and her co-chair, Matt Kelley have in store, and what kind of "waves" to expect.
