The iconic musical, "Cabaret,"takes audiences deep into the seedy nightlife of Berlin's Kit Kat Klub on the eve of Hitler's rise to power.

And beginning tonight, Three Rivers Music Theatre is bringing that experience to Fort Wayne from a unique cabaret perspective by way of the historic Philmore on Broadway.

Billy Dawson and Jessica Butler are thrilled to be recreating the Kit Kat Klub's look & vibe, complete with a live house orchestra.

Besides this ready-made club setting, complete with tables and chairs for the audience seating, the performances also feature a live and lively house orchestra.

Playgoers will enjoy being immersed in the musical acts, as they observe, 1st hand, "Here, life is beautiful...the girls are beautiful...even the orchestra is beautiful."

For a look behind the scenes, and into the heart of the production, WBOI's Julia Meek spoke with lead actors, Jessica Butler and Billy Dawson, to learn what impact this dramatic setting lends to the story they tell.
