Douglas George is the consul general of Canada for Indiana and surrounding states, and he’s touring the state to bring awareness to the relationship between the Hoosier state and his country.

Earlier this week he visited Fort Wayne to meet with Northeast Indiana business leaders to talk about the benefits of expanding across the border. George is based in Michigan and is responsible for the consular district that includes Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Kentucky.

WBOI’s Lisa Ryan interviewed George, and started by asking him why Indiana was selected for this weeklong celebration.
