Following the Fort Wayne Philharmonic’s cancellation of this weekend’s holiday concerts, musicians have announced a free concert featuring Fort Wayne native and Nashville recording artist Addison Agen.

The Philharmonic’s decision to cancel concerts is due to the musicians' continued strike amid failed contract negotiations.

Musicians and management met for nearly five hours on Monday in an attempt to reach an agreement before canceling any more concerts, but were unable to do so.

On Tuesday, a representative from the Players’ Association addressed City Council, urging them to support musicians.

The free concert is at 7 PM this Saturday at Purdue Fort Wayne’s Auer Performance Hall. Addison Agen is known for her appearance on season 13 of The Voice.

This is the musicians' second free holiday concert in response to cancellations.
