Fort Wayne Philharmonic

The Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by music director Andrew Constantine, presented music by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Peter Tchaikovsky in the Masterworks Series concert at Purdue Fort Wayne on April 5. The Philharmonic’s final Masterworks Series concert of the 2024-25 season is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. at Purdue Fort Wayne.

Music by Anna Clyne, Maurice Ravel, and Aaron Copland was featured in the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra’s Masterworks Series concert at Purdue Fort Wayne on March 8, with Andrew Constantine conducting. Johanna Bourkova-Morunov was concertmaster for this performance.

The program featured works by Kabalevsky, Prokofiev, and Mahler.

The orchestra now owns and will repurpose a University of St. Francis building on Ewing Street.

The orchestra performed the works of Chopin and Mozart on the campus of Purdue Fort Wayne.

The Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra and members of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Youth Orchestras, conducted by Andrew Constantine, were both featured in the Jan. 20, performance in the Rhinehart Music Center at Purdue Fort Wayne. The concert included music by Sir William Walton, Jessie Montgomery, Peter Tchaikovsky, and Felix Mendelssohn.

The moving night of emotional music in the Masterworks Series highlighted the depth of talent in the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, and featured a surprise proposal.

The concert featured just two works: Erich Wolfgang Korngold’s violin concerto and Modest Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition” (as orchestrated by Maurice Ravel).
