Northeast Indiana Inclement Weather Outlook: 11/15 - 11/18

Zach Bernard/WBOI News

Inclement weather is expected to continue throughout Thursday and into Friday morning throughout Northeast Indiana.

An ice storm warning is in effect until noon Thursday, and will be followed by a winter weather advisory beginning at noon and potentially ending at 4 pm, according to the National Weather Service of Northern Indiana.

One to three inches of snow is projected by the end of the day.

The morning ice storm has made road conditions more hazardous, as well. City Utilities spokesman Frank Suarez says trucks treated primary city streets overnight and will continue to work on the roads, but he cautions drivers to slow down for their safety anyway.

Conditions are expected to dry out Friday, with cloudy skies and a high of 37. But as of Thursday morning, there is a 30 percent chance of snow resuming Saturday afternoon.

Weekend Outlook

  • Tonight: 27 degrees, 30% chance of snow until 1 am.
  • Friday afternoon: 37 degrees, mostly cloudy.
  • Friday evening: 28 degrees, mostly cloudy.
  • Saturday afternoon: 37 degrees, 30% chance of snow after 1 pm.
  • Saturday evening: 26 degrees, cloudy.
  • Sunday afternoon: 35 degrees, 30% chance of snow.
  • Sunday evening: 22 degrees, partly cloudy.
