The Allen County Superior Court Judicial Nominating Commission has identified three potential candidates to replace retiring Civil Division Judge Stanley Levine.
Gov. Eric Holcomb will have to choose between Allen Superior Court Magistrate Jennifer DeGroote and attorneys George Sistevaris and Andrew Williams.
Levine announced his retirement, effective at the end of 2018, a few months ago. He joins Allen Superior Judge John Surbeck of the Criminal Division in departing the bench.
The three names submitted for Surbeck’s seat are, long-time defense attorney Anthony Churchward, Allen Circuit Court Magistrate Steve Godfrey and Allen Superior Court Magistrate David Zent.
