When "Brewed IN the Fort," Northeast Indiana's premier craft beer festival, served its 1st taste back in 1998, it featured a handful of local and regional brewers.
This year's event, which is Saturday, in Headwaters Park East, features more than 50 Hoosier breweries and 200 of their finest products, with equally tasty local foods and musical fare to complete the annual celebration.
The festival is partnering with Fort Wayne Trails this year, and offers a special Trails VIP pass that directly benefits the trail system. Designated driver tickets will also be available at a special non-alcohol rate, offering craft root beers and sodas.
Earlier this week, WBOI's Julia Meek spoke with local beer advocates, and festival coordinators, Josh Volz and Neil Davey, to discuss the pleasure and passion for the art, as well as its staying power, to beer crafters and beer lovers alike.
