COVID-19 Deaths Rising Across Northeast Indiana

Eleven more Allen County residents have died from COVID-19, as Indiana’s COVID-19 case count jumped to over 6,000 cases Thursday.

 

Four hundred new cases were diagnosed in Allen County as well.

 

Indiana jumped from more than 5,000 cases Wednesday to more than 6,000 cases Thursday. Northeast Indiana was home to 908 of those.

 

According to the Indiana State Department of Health, LaGrange County is now red, meaning the positivity rate and per capita rate of infection is deemed high. 

 

The 7-day positivity rate in LaGrange is now 27 percent, and 46 new cases were reported Thursday. 

 

Northeast Indiana COVID-19 cases, deaths and positivity rates are as follows:

  • Adams County: 76 new cases; 1,118 total. No new deaths, 14 total.
  • Allen County: 400 new cases; 12,813 total. 11 new deaths, 261 total.
  • DeKalb County: 73 new cases; 1,273 total. One new death, 23 total.
  • Huntington County: 36 new cases; 794 total. No new deaths, seven total.
  • Kosciusko County: 69 new cases; 3,153 total. One new death, 36 total.
  • LaGrange County: 46 new cases; 1,131 total. No new deaths, 20 total.
  • Noble County: 64 new cases; 1,827 total. No new deaths, 40 total.
  • Steuben County: 36 new cases; 1,008 total. One new death, 11 total.
  • Wabash County: 50 new cases; 969 total. No new deaths, 15 total.
  • Wells County: 37 new cases; 815 total. Three new deaths, 19 total.
  • Whitley County: 34 new cases; 884 total. No new deaths, six total.
