Festival Brings Love, Peace, Music & Charity to Community

Located across from the USF campus, Deer Park has been a legendary gathering place for two decades.

As the season winds to a close, Deer Park Irish Pub is pitching a tent and commemorating Woodstock's 50th anniversary with its own summer festival this Saturday, called--get ready for it--Deerstock.

With a full day of music and good cheer on the agenda, proceeds from the festival will help support Miss Virginia's Food Pantry, St. Mary's Soup Kitchen and Vincent Village.

Last week WBOI's Julia Meek invited event founders Tony Henry and Kurt Roberts into the studio to talk about their motivation for the event, the pub's intrinsic charitable persuasions, and what the celebration's tagline, "Love, Peace, Music and Charity," will mean to the community.
