In 1960, 6-year-old Ruby Bridges became the first African-American child to attend an all-white elementary school.

This weekend, Fort Wayne Youtheatre remembers that historic event with the premiere of “Ruby Bridges” the third play in Gregory Stieber’s “Young Heroes of Consciousness” series.

WBOI’s Julia Meek met with Stieber, and 9-year-old lead actress, Jasmine Barnes, to discuss the impact Ruby’s story continues to carry.
