'Bob Marley: One Love' took the No. 1 spot at the box office for 2nd straight week

(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, "ONE LOVE / PEOPLE GET READY")

MICHEL MARTIN, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Michel Martin. Much love for Bob Marley. We're talking about on the big screen. The biopic about the legendary reggae singer, "Bob Marley: One Love," took the No. 1 spot at the box office for the second straight week. The film tells the story of Marley as he is making his 1977 album "Exodus" and preparing for a tour. It has made almost $72 million in the U.S. so far, pulling in more than $13 million this past weekend. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
