Fort Wayne Sisters Share Secrets Of Their Sweet Success

October is National Cookie Month, but every month is cookie month for two Fort Wayne sisters.

Maureen Madden and Theresa Kachmarik have been baking and selling nothing but these tasty treats in their Cookie Cottage for nearly 30 years.

Though their kitchen space has increased more than tenfold, and peak season production can exceed 12,000 cookies per day, they continue to embrace the fine art of hand-made confections, and are proud of all 23 of their tasty varieties.

WBOI's Julia Meek invited this ambitious sister team into the studio to discuss the evolution of this culinary enterprise, and the secret of their sweet success.
