New Location for Middle Waves 2020 Return

The 2020 Middle Waves Music Festival is coming to a new location next year. After a hiatus in 2019, the 2020 Middle Waves Music Festival will take place June 12 and 13 at the East Campus of Electric Works and McCulloch Park. This will mark the fourth festival in five years and the first in a new location.

Crystal Vann Wallstrom from Electric Works said “the decision to host Middle Waves was simple.” It marks the first time the full two day experience of Middle Waves will be held away from Headwaters Park, the home for the festival from 2016 to 2018.

Beth McAvoy, the festival’s co-chair, said, “Middle Waves is known for giving festival-goers an unforgettable experience. Now we will provide that experience in a completely new environment.”

The festival will once again feature over twenty artists on three stages, though for 2020 two of the stages will be ticketed and one will be free, a reversal from past years. Ticket presale is expected in November. Normal ticket sales and lineup announcements are expected in early 2020.

Middle Waves brings a blend of local and national acts to Fort Wayne. Past headliners of the festival lineup have included The Flaming Lips, MGMT, Dr. Dog, and Lizzo.
