Four new COVID-19 deaths were reported in northeast Indiana and the 7-day positivity rate is up to 12.9 percent.
Hospitalizations in the area are also at their highest since the late-summer surge of the Delta variant, with 250 northeast Indiana residents in the hospital.
The area’s ICU is 20 percent occupied by COVID patients.
As Hoosiers go into the Thanksgiving holiday, they are facing stagnant vaccination rates and rising positivity rates, according to the Indiana Department of Health.
Allen County reported 294 new COVID cases on Monday from the weekend, as well as two of the four area deaths.
Additional deaths were reported in Huntington and Wells counties.
LaGrange County’s 7-day positivity rate is at 24 percent, with a 23 percent vaccination rate.
Statewide, 52.5 percent of eligible Hoosiers are fully vaccinated.
