Extended Interview: "The Peacemakers"

The International Day of Peace is Saturday, September 20th, and Fort Wayne musicians are commemorating the occasion with a special, Midwest premier of Karl Jenkins' The Peacemakers.
The show includes the Heartland Chamber Chorale, Heartland Festival Chorus and Orchestra, and the Fort Wayne Children's Choir singing the words of some of history's great peace advocates.

WBOI's Julia Meek sat down with the Chorale's Maestro, Robert Nance, and soloist, Lori Sandstrom, to find out more about The Peacemakers.

A Fort Wayne native, Julia is a radio host, graphic artist, and community volunteer, who has contributed to NIPR both on- and off-air for forty years. Besides being WBOI's arts & culture reporter, she currently co-produces and hosts Folktales and Meet the Music.
