Since its premiere in 1937, Carl Orff's Carmina Burana remains one of the most popular pieces of the classical music repertoire.
And while you may not consider yourself a classical connoisseur, its signature O Fortuna movement has likely caught your attention through the many pop culture venues it enjoys, including action films, TV shows and commercials selling everything from cars to aftershave.
When WBOI's Julia Meek learned IPFW's Music Department would present this large scale work in the Auer Performance Hall, she invited directors Kris Sanchack and David Cooke into the studio to discuss their attraction to the piece and the many components of such a massive undertaking.
